I think nomination of a blog should solely depend on the content, maybe not so much on how many people liked it.

Silly I didn't know such a thing existed! Missed the bus I guess.

The Sports nominations, mostly, was a let down. No mention of Bored cricket Crazy Indians, Naked Cricket, Straight Point, The cricket Watcher's Journal, Silly M(a)id On, Maiden Bowling, Eye on Cricket or my baby Doosra, which Telegraph Sports (UK) readers have voted no. 1 cricket blog and 'The Times' mentioned in its 'Best of Web' compilation.

I guess not enough friends to nominate us:)

Hi,

Firstly, congratulations for kicking up the Indiblog awards 2009. It is been received well and written about [esp at the blogs of the nominated junta].

I have gone through each category and the respective nominations and felt to share this with you [If am allowed or my feedback is counted:)]-

1. The nominations are very typical esp in personal and humor category. by typical I meant that you have selected only few bloggers when there is a good lot to be chosen from. A lot of these bloggers are repeated in different categories[Its ok if aren the patrons or the team behind].
2. You can actually do a bit of research and give more bloggers a chance to be part in. BY doing so, u may achieve-
2.a) A wider junat particuipating promoting it
2.b] Larger people given an opportunity and not just the famous few
2.c] encourage new bloggers or lesser known

3. repetitions could be avoided and some etc focus to be given to good yet not that popular bloggers
4. Fresh entries could be given a chance else the award borders on filmfare lookalike which is famous for its preferential services given to big production houses only.
I hope that my suggestions will make sense and you can make necessary changes. I believe it is not too late yet! :)

And yes, I am not asking for my blog but for giving us variety and innovation:)
