Categorical statement
This is all for those quetching souls that have been twisting and turning in their beds every night since the 2005 event started, cursing me for the poorly chosen categories. Here is your chance to have your say.
Tell us which of the present Indibloggies categories should be dumped in the Ganges (the Tagline category, for example bore the brunt this year) and which all new categories should adorn the 2006 event. To set the ball rolling here are few new suggested categories (that emerged from the discussions here and in the blog neighborhood):
- Best Food Indiblog
- Most Humorous Indiblog
- Best Podcast Indiblog

Keep the ones that are currently there. Keep food, humor and podcast (audio) and add vidcast/vlog/videoblog whatever u want to call it. Meaning video versions of podcasts. Best Video Blog. Best Artistic blog, contains drawings, paintings etc.

Amit,
I certainly have to agree with you, there are quite a few Indian podcasts, so maybe this year there will be vlogs, if not then forget about that category, but hopefully there will be soon.

yes, there’ll be indian vlogs soon, but that is dependant on the digital camera penetration(still not much) or video capable mobiles costing less and lower costs of high speed internet connection. until then, its just a mirage & there’s no point in considering a vlog category(though I might refute it since I’m thinking of starting one myself)!!

What about adding: Best Travel Blog?

Apart from the Best Indiblog, how about the most popular blog / blogger? The popular blog need nor necessarily qualify to be the Best Indiblog in the eyes of the voters and the jury.

How about the best academic blog? Many of the Indian bloggers are actually students, and some of them also maintain academic blogs.
